Guest Access to Digs
The Oxford Blues Metal Detecting Club accepts guests at some of their digs up to a maximum of 6 guests per dig. Full club membership may be offered to regular guest if places become available. Club membership places are reviewed twice a year.
Dig details for guest will be made available on this page usually on Thursday. Decision are made on first come, first serve bases.

The Oxford Blues Metal Dectecting Club is now in the position of being able to accept guests on some of its weekly digs. There will be a £15 charge for each guest who must be covered by public liability insurance through the FID or NCMD. Club members are expected to use the NCMD as stated in our club rules. A photo of the insurance card will be required prior to being sent a login to book a dig.
At present guests can only become permanent members by showing the club during their time as a guest, that they follow our rules and show commitment to the club.
Guests that introduce new land for the club to search will be favourably considered for full membership to the club.
Only successful guests will be considered for membership and there isn’t a membership waiting list or an alternative method of becoming a member.
The availability of guests places on the digs is not guaranteed due to parking restrictions and other factors but we do expect to fit in 1-6 guests per dig.
If you are accepted as a guest on a dig you may be required to prove you have your insurance on the day of the dig as are all club members.
If approved as a guest for a dig you will be sent a email with a login and password, this will only work for the duration up to and including the day of the dig, you must logon using the details provided and then book your place on the dig by filling out the online booking form. Payment will be PayPal only. Details for the dig are published on the Guest Dig Booking page which cannot be accessed without a logon.
